Yet more snow on the way
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the GTA with 5 to 10 centimetres of snow in the forecast. The area affected is the north shore of Lake Ontario from Burlington east to Belleville. Steady snowfall has created a tough drive for commuters. Highways and roadways are slick, and many areas are still backed up with traffic moving much slower than usual. It’s been a wintry week, weather-wise, but the season doesn’t officially begin until Saturday. However cold weather alerts issued for Hamilton and Toronto have been cancelled.
